Diane Elliott
Diane is a director in the share and business valuations team. Prior to joining us, she ran the national Fiscal Valuations Team for a Big 4 accounting firm.
Her valuation expertise spans a broad range across fiscal, commercial and accounting valuations. This includes fiscal valuations required for both the UK and overseas tax authorities, valuations required for corporate restructuring activities, employee remuneration planning, earn out agreements, pre-flotation planning, venture capital bonus awards and international share schemes, as well as valuations required for investigation matters and expert witness work.
Recent intellectual property and intangible asset valuations have included work for international music portfolios, technical know how, journal publication titles, film distribution rights and the value of goodwill. Commercial and "fair value" valuation work includes valuations for dispute resolution, divorce settlements and fundraising purposes, as well as estimates of value for sale. IFRS and accounting valuation projects include option valuations for FRS20/IFRS2 and impairment reviews.
Diane also has extensive experience in training and lecturing and has written and delivered bespoke valuation training materials and presentations for clients, professional and industry bodies. She is also a member of HMRC's Fiscal Valuation forum, the Society of Share and Business Valuers and the ICAEW's Valuations Special Interest Group, as well as a panel member for the ICAEW's President's Appointment Scheme.
