Our Direct Access Service – powered by CoreFiling’s Seahorse

The Direct Access iXBRL service enables you to upload Microsoft Word or Excel based accounts to a secure portal to complete the iXBRL tagging yourself. This minimises your external expenditure with training and support provided by our iXBRL specialists.

Costs are based upon the number of sets of accounts you upload to our portal, with an additional fee to cover taxonomy and software training, and telephone support provided by our iXBRL experts. Discounts are available for groups with a large number of entities.

However, the burden on your in-house team could be significant and keeping their skills current between reporting periods and across staff changes will be a challenge.

Our Fully Managed Service

Our fully managed iXBRL service is designed to provide you with the confidence that your iXBRL tagged accounts will fully comply with HMRC’s online filing requirements.

Our specialist iXBRL team will take your accounts in whatever format you provide and then tag and rigorously quality check them ready for HMRC submission. The only requirement of your staff will be to discuss/approve potentially contentious iXBRL tagging decisions and give final sign off.

When the iXBRL tagging and quality reviews are complete we will give you:

• The signed off iXBRL document for submission with the corporation tax return
• A schedule of the tags applied to each set of accounts, plus any judgements we have applied to ambiguous or contentious items within the accounts for ease of review.

Costs

If BDO prepare your accounts in CaseWare, an additional fee will apply to tag and quality review the financial statements.

If your accounts are provided to us in Microsoft Word, Excel or other formats, we will agree charges with you based on the length and complexity of the document.

Discounts are available for groups with a large number of entities.
