Sector impact

The effect of the changes to UK GAAP will be large on all companies no matter which sector they fall into.  However, the way in which those changes affect companies vary depending on which sector the company belongs to.  For example, companies in the leisure and hospitality sector may be greatly affected by the FRSME no longer allowing assets (in particular property) to be on balance sheet at current market value, this however may not have such a large impact on a manufacturing company.  In order to help companies focus their attention on the issues that are likely to affect them we have developed a series of brochures analysing the impacts of the changes by sector.
