Case study – AIM listed UK integrated Oil and Gas company

We currently provide audit services to a UK based fully integrated oil and gas company which listed on AIM in 2004. The Group has a market capitalisation of over £200m and a defined business strategy to develop National and European gas storage assets. 

Our specialist audit team replaced the incumbent auditors after proving our expertise in the sector and demonstrating a solid and robust audit approach. Our audit approach is designed to work in partnership with our clients ensuring that we understand, not only the clients business, but the way in which they work and make decisions but also their strategy and aspirations for the business.

Our audit approach ensures that there are no surprises. We invested significant time before the audit fieldwork started and sought to identify and resolves issues before they became problems. We agreed a detailed timetable with the Board and Management to ensure that the audit progress was monitored and efficiently controlled. The Chief Financial Officer of the client commented:
