BDO appoints new Risk Management Director in Financial Services group
BDO LLP is pleased to announce that it has appointed Ian Cottrell as a Risk Management Director within its Financial Services Group (FSG).
Ian previously worked as a Risk Director for 10 years at KPMG. Prior to that he has more than 20 years experience gained in the banking sector with both HSBC and the London branch of ING Bank where he was Head of Risk Management.
He has specialist experience in Financial and Operational Risk Management tools and techniques, Regulatory requirements (Basel II, Sarbanes-Oxley, FSA and control frameworks such as COSO), Management Assurance, Enterprise Wide Risk Management, Risk Self-Assessment; Internal Audit; Business Continuity and crisis management: Process Mapping and re-engineering Corporate Governance and Management Assurance frameworks.
