Offshore Structures and UK Real Estate

In the last few years, there has been a significant increase in the use of offshore structures to generate profits tax free from trading and developing UK real estate. In the light of the Government’s soaring budget deficit, HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) are responding to mounting pressure to investigate the large profits realised offshore to establish whether UK tax should have been paid. Offshore traders and developers are now finding their structures come under scrutiny by HMRC.
