Governance in Social Housing – A Survey of Audit Committee Chairs

During November 2010 we undertook a survey of just over fifty audit committee chairs of small, medium and large registered housing providers. The survey focused on the role of audit committees within the governance structures of housing associations. We shared key findings from the survey at the National Housing Federation Audit Committee Conference in December 2010 in a presentation entitled 'The fundamentals of delivering good governance'. This report now comprises the detailed results from the survey.

The following chart illustrates an even response from different sized organisations, which supports the key themes emerging across the sector from the perspective of audit committee chairs.
