July 2010

The July 2010 edition of Economic Prospects 2010, our latest publication produced in partnership with EEF, provides an update to our start of year review of 2010 and looks at the current prospects for the UK economy and manufacturing following the recent change in government and budget. 

The latest official statistics for the first half of the year point manufacturing being on track to post the strongest growth in a sixth month period since 1994. In addition, the EEF/BDO Manufacturing Outlook reported some of the strongest balances on record in the second quarter of this year. But is this what your business has seen?

The report also looks at how the various manufacturing sub sectors will fare over the next 12 months and identify the "winners and losers".
