Peter heads up BDO's M&A advisory business in the UK, which in 2011, according to Experian Corpfin, was the UK's most active with 81 completed transactions during the year.
Although Peter continues to work across a variety of sectors, his main focus is on the leisure space, with a secondary interest in energy and environmental deals. He has acted for entrepreneurs, private equity and corporates both in sale and buy-side roles. Peter also runs BDO's Business Trends report, a monthly poll of polls of business confidence, and appears regularly on TV and radio talking about the UK economy.
Peter joined BDO's corporate finance department in 1989 and became a partner in 1994. He trained as a Chartered Accountant having been educated at Brentwood School, Essex and Cambridge University.
