Biography

Current role

Neil is a Director within the Transaction Services team in the Eastern Region. He is primarily responsible for the day to day management of corporate finance transactions, both within the UK and in overseas jurisdictions. Neil is also a member of the firm’s Betting and Gaming Unit. Neil has expertise and extensive experience of handling large, complex overseas and UK projects (consisting of private, AIM listed and full list transactions) which have included IPO’s, bank reports and investigations, together with reporting accountant work on fund raising, working capital reviews and acquisition due diligence.

Experience

Neil joined BDO in 1994 and qualified as an accountant whilst working within the firm’s business assurance stream. He has over ten years’ experience of advising public and private companies on mergers, acquisitions, flotations and fundraising, and was a founding member of the Eastern Region’s Corporate Finance team.As well as managing corporate finance assignments, Neil has been on secondment to forensic accounting unit becoming involved with assignments for the United Nations.

Recent transactions include:

• Financial due diligence on the £19 million acquisition of Innserve Holdings Limited and Innserve Limited by Serviced Dispense Equipment (Holdings) Limited
• Reporting accountant on the $15.3 million reverse acquisition of Top Layer Security and placing of new shares by Corero plc
• Financial due diligence on the acquisition of PT Turnkey Services Limited, by Playtech, for initial consideration of €140 million
• Reporting accountant on the £37 million disposal by Nestor Healthcare Group plc of its Carewatch business
• Financial due diligence on the £2 million acquisition of Enormous Yes Company Limited by Knowledge & Merchandising, Inc.
