Biography

Mike is a director and the Head of the Forensic Accounting department at the Southampton Office of BDO LLP. He also works out of BDO’s London office.

He has been carrying out valuations and forensic accountancy assignments for over 17 years and has been the expert accountant in over 700 cases, which have been either for litigation, arbitrations, mediations and expert determinations.  

He has given accountancy evidence on numerous occasions in the High Court, the Technology and Construction Court, the County Court, the Crown Court, the Family Court and at Military Courts Martial. He has also assisted in arbitrations and mediations.

Mike has acted as the Single Joint Expert for many parties in litigation, being appointed by both to give an independent and unbiased opinion in the case.

He is the external forensic accountant for the Ministry of Defence Police Fraud Squad and has assisted them over the years in investigation large-scale procurement fraud on behalf of Defence Estates.

Mike is a qualified accountant and a Barrister. He is a member of the Academy of Experts and a Law Society Accredited Accountancy Expert.
