Biography
Current role
Michael is a partner in BDO LLP’s Corporate Finance practice leading our infrastructure and renewable energy finance practice. He has experience across a range of sectors including, leisure, social care, waste management, power generation, and various forms of renewable energy.
Experience
Michael Ware commenced his career working with the Audit Commission. He has now has in excess of 15 years experience working and advising on infrastructure, PFI and renewable energy projects.
Recent transactions include:
- Lead advisor to Waste Recycling Group and HLC on the development of the Wrexham Waste PFI project
- Raised a credit facility of £75m for New Earth Solutions to develop semi-merchant waste facilities processing waste for Dorset and Kent County Councils
- Raised £40m finance for Europlasma to develop gasification and plasma technology for the treatment of municipal waste in France and UK
- Advising Parkwood on the disposal of portfolio of Leisure PFI projects
- Advice to Grosvenor on sale of their portfolio of seven Health PFI projects
- Advised One Housing Group on raising of funding for a property development
- Advised London Borough of Ealing on developing a £60m residential care project.
- Advised London Borough of Richmond PFI developing a £50m residential care project
- Advised Closed Loop Recycling on a £25m fundraising
- Advised Monoworld on a £15m fundraising
- Advised Home Sun on a £20m solar energy project
- Advised AVR on the £120m development of a carbon fibre solar fund raising project in Poland
- Advised Aerothermal on a £12.5m innovative Anerobic Digestion project
- Advised B9 on a £20m Anerobic Digestion project
