Biography

Current role 

Andrew leads the National Corporate Finance business. He focuses on mid-market M&A transactions, particularly in the consumer, healthcare and business services sectors whilst also having undertaken transactions in continental Europe and the USA as well as the UK. He also advises clients on corporate finance strategy.

Experience

Andrew joined the corporate finance team in 1999 having previously worked for New Look Group Plc, where he was responsible to the Board for the £450m flotation of the retail business in 1998.  Prior to this, Andrew worked in Tom Singh’s private office after successfully advising on the 1997 IBO of New Look.  Andrew qualified with PwC (London, Los Angeles and Budapest) and subsequently worked as a strategy consultant (UK electricity privatisation) and then for PKF Corporate Finance.  

Recent transactions include:

  • CPA Global - £440m sale of minority interests to ICG, management and reinvesting shareholders
  • Mosaic Fashions - £400m debt for equity swap
  • Gold Group - £180m recapitalisation and restructuring of private family business 
  • Kurt Geiger - £97m SBO, financed by Graphite Capital
  • Radley & Co - £130m MBO financed by Exponent
