Biography

Alex has over 17 years experience in forensic accounting, valuation and investigation. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Alex has appeared at Mediation Hearings, appointed by the Court on numerous occasions as a Single Joint Expert and given oral evidence in the High Court and the equivalent court in Amsterdam.  He also appeared in the International Court of Arbitration.

He has specialist expertise in loss of profit claims, forensic investigation of insolvency matters, business interruption and competition matters.

Alex has particular expertise in the manufacturing sectors, mobile telephone and computer systems sectors having dealt with major cases involving both the mobile phone operators and international computer companies. He has also dealt with many partnership disputes and valuation matters both contentious and for financial statement purposes.

Client experience includes

• He recently led the investigation for the Special Managers of one of the largest property based schemes in the North of England. Sums involved were in excess of £100 million.
• Acted in Confiscation Proceedings dealing with (at the time) the largest tax evasion case in the UK with the benefit estimated at £99 million •Recent work includes a wide variety of consequential loss and other cases involving commercial loss ranging from a fire at factory premises to professional negligence at an abattoir.
