The UK has been praised for how it deals with and prevents cyber attacks.
A study by the Security & Defence Agenda of 250 authorities and 80 experts, revealed that the UK was up there with Germany and the US, with these countries being given four stars out of five.
The report did also say that the UK needs to avoid relying on the private sector for help.
"How will the [UK cyber security strategy] be put into action? There are no plans for a UK cyber tsar. Then, a great deal depends on co-operation from the private sector, which controls about 80 per cent of the critical national infrastructure," expert Peter Sommer toldComputing.co.uk.
Demosthenes Iknomou, head of secure services and project support for the European Network and Information Security Agency, went on to say that cyber attacks were a "pan-European" issue, rather than one relating to individual nations.
Last week, researchers working for Microsoft found a new type of stealth malware, which has the ability to fool security software before morphing into a malicious script.
