BYOD 'can create savings for business'

Shoretel.com has underlined the fact that implementing a bring your own device (BYOD) policy can have a lot of benefits for businesses up and down the country - not least of which is the ability to make lots of savings.

Mobility lead for Europe, Middle East and Africa at the firm Nick Rathod asserted that this is one of the key elements to take advantage of, as there will no longer be any need to spend hundreds of pounds on individual devices.

He said that Apple devices have always been desirable - specifically laptops - but were unaffordable for many, whereas now it is much easier to support.

Security is often cited as a major concern with this solution, but Neil Lathwood, technical director for hosting solutions firm UKFast.co.uk, recently claimed there are plenty of technical solutions that can overcome this.

Mr Rathod said: "From a support point of view, a helpdesk would only help with matters where they knew what they were doing."ADNFCR-1898-ID-801423564-ADNFCR
