Business bosses have chosen Nick Clegg as the political party leader they would most like to have working for them.
In a new survey by the Keep Britain Working campaign, some 59 per cent of employers said they would hire the Liberal Democrat leader.
His rating jumped from 28 per cent following his appearances in the live televised debates with David Cameron and Gordon Brown.
Mr Cameron was named as the preferred employee by 29 per cent of businesses. Before the debates, the Tory leader had been chosen by 53 per cent of firms.
Just 13 per cent said they would employ Labour leader Gordon Brown, compared to 19 per cent previously.
James Reed, founder of Keep Britain Working, said: "Whoever is the next prime minister will clearly need a good head for business given the challenges we face and with 8.5 million people currently economically inactive."
The last of the three leadership debates has now taken place and the election will be held on May 6th.
