We are what we do

BDO have long been supporters of the work of the social movement We Are What We Do. The relationship began when they released their second book Change the World 9-5, a book containing 50 suggestions of small actions each of us can take to help make the world a better place while at work.

More recently we have been involved in their latest project, a competition for children to come up with their own actions to be made into the next book. 40 volunteers from across the UK offices were trained to go into schools and youth groups to launch the competition and help encourage children to develop their ideas. In some cases this involved standing up in front of assemblies of hundreds of children to inspire them to join in. Both the volunteers and the children gained a huge amount from the experience.
